It won't cost $40,000 to prepare the engine in the 350 for higher boost. You can probably get away with just using lower compression pistons. Lots of guys have turbocharged their VQ Maximas and I don't see them dishing out $40k to do it. Since the high compression ratio is the weak point for forced induction, you can get away with lowering the CR. If you were going for a drag racing record or a dyno record for most powerful 350, it will cost you. But just having a higher boost 350Z can probably be done by lowering the CR. In any event, way below $40k
